SPECIAL NOTIFICATION: This position is exempt from classified state service and the rules of the Division of Human Resources and the Idaho Personnel Commission.
The General Manager of Idaho Public Television administers the only non-commercial, educational public television system in Idaho on behalf of the State Board of Education. This system includes transmitters in Boise, Twin Falls, Pocatello, Coeur d'Alene, and Moscow and associated facility and delivery systems.
The General Manager has full power and responsibility within the framework of the Board's Governing Policies and Procedures for the organization, management, direction, and supervision of the public television system and is held accountable by the Board through its Executive Director for the successful functioning of public television in all of its units, divisions, and services, as well as duties in support of its related Friends organization.

You will host and produce Idaho Reports, the longest-running legislative program in the West. You will also host and produce The Idaho Debates. You will also produce programs for Outdoor Idaho, the West's highly acclaimed outdoor program. You might also host or produce occasional specials and assist with other local productions.
