Idaho's public schools face an unprecedented 62 million dollars in budget cuts for 2010. In hearings starting February 16th, members of the House and Senate Education committees will decide recommendations for what areas of the K-12 funding should stay and what should go.
The chairs of both committees, Sen. John Goedde (R-Coeur d'Alene) and Rep. Bob Nonini (R-Coeur d'Alene), will discuss their decisions with Joan Cartan-Hansen. Superintendent of Public Instruction Tom Luna and Sherri Wood, President of the Idaho Education Association, will also join the conversation.
