Gregg Servheen Biography

Wildlife biologist Gregg Servheen grew up in Pennsylvania and Massachusetts and migrated to Idaho in 1983. He has been playing in the woods since he was a kid and shows no signs of giving it up.

Gregg's interest in the wilds and wildlife lead him to school at the University of Massachusetts and Texas A&M University. His work in wildlife has included studies on coyotes, caribou, black bears, grizzly bears, and elk. Through his job as a wildlife biologist with the Idaho Department of Fish and Game, he has focused on the conservation and research of wildlife habitats including wetlands.

Gregg's work with wetlands is part of a cooperative project with the University of Idaho. Researchers at the University are looking at how wetlands have been impacted by man using a combination of soil science and computer technology. Through this research, the cooperators hope to be able to help in the restoration and conservation of wetlands in Idaho.
