Dora M. Gallegos Biography Dora teaches half-time at Albertson College of Idaho, where she has taught for 7 years. She teaches geology, geography, and elementary science teaching methods as well as natural history field courses. The natural history courses have allowed her to travel to such diverse locations as Cuba and Australia. Dora's teaching strength is demonstrated by her ability to help non-science majors develop a lifelong appreciation for the role that science plays in their everyday lives. Dora's love for working with students is illustrated by her other half-time job on the Albertson College of Idaho campus where she is the Director of the Center for Experiential Learning. In that position, she fosters students in their quest to determine what they want to be when they grow up by providing career counseling and self-assessment techniques. She
and her husband Fred reside in Boise, Idaho. They have 4 children
and five grandchildren. |
