Julie Scanlin, Environmental Educator, Biography Julie Scanlin is an environmental educator with the Idaho Water Resources Research Institute at the University of Idaho. She specializes in water education programs. She is the state coordinator for Project WET Idaho, and chairperson of the National Project WET Coordinator's Council. She also directs Idaho Streamwalk, Splash Water Festivals, Idaho Water Camps, Healthy Water Healthy People and Conserve Water programs. She also serves on the statewide and regional Idaho Water Awareness Week committees and on the executive boards of the Idaho Water Education Foundation and the Idaho Environmental Education Association. Julie works cooperatively with the Geothermal Education Office and National Project WET to develop and disseminate GEO: The Great Earth Odyssey, a teacher's curriculum guide to geothermal resources and their energy applications and also with northwest regional Project WET coordinators to develop a Columbia River Watershed Curriculum Guide. Julie has also taught introductory watershed and geothermal classes through the Yellowstone Association Institute. |
