To Idaho Citizens
I not only have a vision but a plan for our state, which will ultimately help our whole nation. My vision is of a state that is totally independent of ederal handouts that we have come to depend on. We have the answers within our own lands. As your next Senator I will work to restore all our federal public lands back into the control of our state. This will allow our state legislators to open our lands back up to logging, mining, oil and natural gas exploration and stop the senseless burning of our forests by out-of-control federal policies. The revenues from these resources will not only stabilize Idaho's economy, but these industries also have the potential of putting thousands of Idahoans to work. Two main places that these monies need to be spent is on Idaho's school systems and roads.
Our legislators from around the state that have heard me talk about the lands issue are beginning to see the tremendous economic potential this plan could have for our state.
As a 20 year business man and employer, a 14 year member of my church's deacon/elder board, and a three term trustee of our local school board, I have a unique perspective on money management. In our federal government, cutting wasteful spending of our hard earned tax dollars is going to be my primary goal. As your elected Senator I will promise to hold our Congress accountable to the taxpayers of not only our state but our country as a whole.
I will work to reform our federal trade policies so that out-sourcing American workers jobs to other countries will not be an atractive option for companies. We have to keep producing and manugacutring in the U.S. at the same level that we consume products. We know now what an unbalanced economy looks like, thanks to so called professional politicians.
We can work together to put Idaho in the forfront of energy technology by being proactive in developing alternative electrical energy and fuel sources. Because of stringent EPA standards we no longer need to fear nuclear technologies or coal-fired plants.
What I am not is a 65 year old rich lawyer type professional politician who will only give us the same old politics as usual and who is actually just looking for a nice retirement benefit because of his age. What I am is a 55 year old citizen politician who relates to main steam Idaho's work force and who knows and cares about our every day concerns. Because of my age I can offer our state multiple terms as your U.S. Senator. I am a bible believeing Christian, father, husband, grandfather, veteran, NRA Life Member, and a strong defender of our constitutional rights.
