This hand print from the Chauvet Cave in southern France represents one of the first methods by which early humans left their mark on the world. EVOLUTION explores how early modern humans developed the capacity for independent and creative thought.
   

The EVOLUTION series explores a simple yet remarkable theory. The 8 hour television series is complemented by a comprehensive and engaging national Web site that emphasizes interactive experiential learning. The series airs again on IdahoPTV on Tuesday mornings in November, from 1:00 a.m./midnight MT/PT to 3:00/2:00 a.m. MT/PT
