The premiere screening of OUTDOOR IDAHO’s “Summit Idaho” will be held Wednesday, October 23, from 6-8 p.m. at The Community Library in Ketchum, 415 Spruce Ave. The televised episode will air for the first time on Thursday, October 24, at 8:00 p.m. MT and repeat Sunday, October 27, at 7:00 p.m. MT to open Outdoor Idaho’s 31st season.
In “Summit Idaho” IdahoPTV producer Sauni Symonds and videographer Jay Krajic follow groups of mountain climbers who reach the summits of four Idaho mountain peaks — Vienna Peak in the Sawtooth National Recreation Area, Gilmore Peak in the Lemhi Mountain Range, He Devil in the Seven Devils Mountains, and Scotchman Peak in the Panhandle's Scotchman Peaks proposed wilderness area. The steep ascents in winter and summer culminate in magnificent views of four different Idaho terrains.
Bruce Reichert, OUTDOOR IDAHO executive producer, Symonds and Krajic will answer questions following the 30-minute screening, which is free and open to the public.
