IdahoPTV's FIRST BOOK PARTNER AGREEMENT
Application Due Date: July 1

1. All books must go to individual children. While building a library of books that many children can use is laudable, it is not the purpose of this program.
2. At least 85% of the books must be given to low income children who otherwise might not have books in their home.
3. To the extent possible, the books should be distributed to the same children each month to ensure the long-term benefits of this program—a love of reading and an enthusiasm for learning.
4. Direct contact with the child is required when First Books are delivered, and the delivery of the books should contain an educational component.
5. Each First Book site must provide a workshop that involves the parents of the participating children. We will provide a one time train-the-trainer workshop, and within the first month of the First Book project, you will be required to hold this Raising Readers workshop for participating parents.
6. First Book bookplates and Idaho Public Television stickers will be provided to you. One of each must be placed in every book. Also, suggested activities are enclosed for each book and should be folded inside each book and sent home.
7. We will require a brief monthly report from you.

This form must accompany application.
