With the help of Problem-Based Learning (PBL), the entire group learns all about the water cycle, the water table, global climates, and much more to get the project flowing again. [G]

Spain....On The Road Again  "Tilting Windmills In Castilla La Mancha"  With the boys up early at Madrid's fish market, the ladies lounge luxuriously eating churros and hot chocolate. Then Gwyneth and Mario cruise down to Toledo for a cooking lesson with one of Castilla la Mancha's top chefs. [P]

Rick Steves' Europe Classics  "Northwest England"  Rick explores England's Lake District with its images of Woodworth's poetry. He visits Durham's Norman cathedral and Blackpool (Britain's Coney Island). [G]

Classical Destinations  "Tuscany: Verdi and Puccini"  More than just one of Italy's most beautiful regions, Tuscany also produced two of the greatest operatic composers. We visit the cities and towns that shaped their lives: Lucca, Pisa, and Milan. [P]

P. Allen Smith's Garden Home  "Entry Gates"  Allen has applied a new coat of limewashing to the new stone entry pavilions, which protects building surfaces and blends beautifully with the landscape. The addition of the gates and landscaping defines this welcome spot for guests. [P]

This Old House  "Newton Centre Project, Part 7 of 16"  Landscape contractor Roger Cook welcomes certified arborist Matt Foti to Newton Centre to prune all of the existing hemlock trees on the corner of the house, and along the driveway. Inside, master electrician Allen Gallant installs a bath fan in the new powder room that looks like a recessed light, but it has hidden ventilation capabilities built in. [P]

While in Lombardy, Lidia visits Monica Maggiano and learns about how this accountant-turned-farmer raises her own chickens with care and attention, what they eat, and how they roam her farm. Monica helps us become better acquainted with the types of birds we eat, and back in the kitchen, Lidia demystifies the duck and talks about the Mallard, Peking and Muscovy. [P]
