CAREER ADVANTAGE helps you identify the job you want, and then
get it. Or if you're thinking about college, check out the resources
we've got to help you with selecting colleges to which to apply,
doing those applications, and getting financial help.
Imagine a job-hunting course featuring personal visits by captains
of industry. Or a class that invited the authors
of best-sellers such as What Color is Your Parachute? And The Complete
Job-Search Handbook to talk about the ins and outs of establishing or
switching careers.
In addition to expert advice from industry leaders, the series takes
viewers on tours of successful companies, listens in on firsthand
experiences from recent job seekers, and offers a professional's
guide to evaluating one's skills and determining suitable career
options. The programs are designed to answer the three
basic questions involved with a career search: What do I really
want? What's out there for me? How do I get what I want? Each episode
also includes "Hot Tips," short, simple suggestions for action
designed to help students overcome the inertia often felt by job-seekers
that can dead-end a job search.
