PROTOCERATOPS

Features or characteristics: first horned-face and has a leathery body.

Eating habits: herbivorous - plant eater.

Location: Mongolia.

Discoverer: W. Granger & W. K. Gregory, 1923.

Egg size: about 6-8 inches in length & has a wrinkled eggshell.

 

 

HYPSILOPHODON

Features or characteristics: high-ridged tooth.

Eating habits: herbivorous, a dominate plant eater.

Location: England, France, & Germany.

Discoverer: T.H. Huxley, 1870.

Egg size: eggshell has grooved textured all around the middle areas with a smooth top and bottom. Egg is about 7 inches in length.

 

 

OVIRAPTOR

Features or characteristics: egg thief.

Eating habits: carnivorous - meat & egg eater.

Location: Mongolia

Discoverer: H. F. Osborn, 1924.

Egg size: about 4-8 inches in length & has vertical, textured, broken tiny lines all around the eggs outer shell.

 

 

BRACHIOSAURUS

BRAK-ee-oh-SAW-rus

 

Features or characteristics: arm reptile.

(Weights around 80 tons, as much as twenty large elephants put together).

Eating habits: herbivorous - plant eater.

Location: North America & Africa.

Discoverer: E.S. Riggs, 1903.

 

 

TRICERATOPS

Features: three-horned face.

Eating habits: herbivorous, low bushes, trees, and plants.

Location: in North Americas Canadian area.

Discoverer: O.C. Marsh 1889.

 

 

STEGOSAURUS

STEG-o-SAU-rus

 

Features or characteristic: this armored dinosaur reaches 25 feet in length and varies in size & shape. Also, known for its ornamental plates, which are placed alternately on the dinosaurs back with a spiked tail.

Eating habits: herbivorous - plant eater.

Location: Mid Western parts of the USA, Northern America & Africa.

Discoverer: Othniel C. Marsh, 1877 & in 1878 found a complete specimen.
