“It’s just a beautiful country. I’m glad to be here.”

--Kevin Chapin, Ranch Manager (Diamond A and Three Creek Ranches)--

cowboys and cattleSagebrush plains, rugged canyons, and forested mountains are all part of the vast country along the Idaho-Nevada border. This is the definition of wide open spaces. It’s a setting that’s ideal for cattle ranches and cowboys.

But cowboys don’t have a corner on this lonely corridor west of Highway 93. It’s also a great place for people seeking solitude and recreation. They come here to float through remote canyons, fish for walleye, meander along dusty back roads or horse pack into a beautiful wilderness area.

From the gambling Mecca of Jackpot, to Murphy’s Hot Springs and the old mining town of Jarbidge this area offers a variety of diversions. This is where the nation’s last gold rush took place and also its last stage robbery. It was home for Kitty Wilkins, the horse queen of Idaho and dozens of other pioneer characters. This is the true Wild West, a place of colorful history and endless horizons.
