Catch a glimpse of an osprey in flight or a moose foraging in the shallows. The Clark Fork Delta provides one of the most interesting paddle trips Full Spectrum Tours offers on Lake Pend Oreille. This trip combines two very different environments into one trip. Lush estuaries provide habitat for many resident and migrating species of birds, as well as deer, moose, bear, otter, beaver, muskrats and fish. Just south of the delta, the majestic Green Monarch Mountains flank the lake's remote eastern shoreline.

The guides of Full Spectrum Tours are concerned about potential impacts to this area from dam current releases and a proposed Asarco Mine upstream. We encourage other paddlers to come explore the delta in hopes that this special area will be protected in the future and that future generations will also be able to explore and appreciate this magnificent place.
