NATIVE AMERICANS

IdahoPTV Productions and Specials:

Sacred Journey of the Nez Perce The traditional oral history story-telling method is featured in this presentation of contemporary Nez Perce perspectives and translated rememberences of war by chiefs such as Joseph, White Bird and Toolhoolhoolzote. Historical photographs, re-enactments and location footage trace their historic journey.

Idaho Tribes and the Environment For centuries, the idea of "managing" the environment was foreign to Native Americans. They tried to adjust their lives to that of the natural world. But as they saw native plants and species declining, they felt they had to get involved in the political arena. With additional resources available in the form of federal grants and casino receipts, tribes are making their mark in environmental management.

One Water, One Air, One Earth This documentary follows Corbin Harney, a spiritual leader for the western Shoshone Nation, as he spreads his environmental message, while reviving Native American traditions.
