Idaho Public Television Senior Thesis/Oral History Video Guidelines and Suggestions

Acceptable formats for Video include:
1. Mini DV tape (if it plays on mini DV equipment we can use it)
2. DVD video (if it plays in a DVD player to your TV we can use it)
3. AVI uncompressed
• Cinepak Codec
• Quality 100
• Uncheck key frames and data rate
• 16 bit, 48 kHz stereo audio
4. DV File (native DV)
   • NTSC
   • 48 kHz, 16 bit, stereo audio
5. QT
   • Animation codec
   • 720x480 if DV
   • 30 fps
   • Uncheck key frames and data rate
   • 48 kHz, 16 bit stereo audio using 24 bit floating point
6. Windows Media
   • 1500 kbps
   • 720x480
   • 30 fps
   • Key frames every 30 frames
