David Marr

In 1971 David Marr bought his first camera, while on
tour as a Jazz musician. Photography soon replaced
music as his means of self expression. Studying under
the tutelage of Fred Picker at Zone VI Studios and Ansel
Adams and his Yosemite Workshops, David founded
the Cole/Marr Photo Workshops in Sturbridge, Massachusetts
in 1975 and later he and his wife Kristen Cole
moved the workshops to San Juan Capistrano, California.
In 1996 David and Kristen moved to Boise, Idaho
and opened the final destination of the Cole/Marr
Photo Workshops at the 8th Street Market Place. Where
David has taught over 300 students a year the craft
of photography, while maintaining a student gallery,
instructor's gallery, on location photo expeditions, 18
different creative and unique photo workshops and
an active music career. View David Marr's calendar page.
