DCI Gene Hunt smells a rat when two former Manchester colleagues turn up on his patch. They all go after a comic, who is wanted for stealing money from the Police Widows' Fund. There is soon a race between Gene and his former colleagues with Gene resorting to underhanded tactics. But Alex learns there may be more to the case than they originally believed. G
