Jerry shows his students how to block in the background rocks, how to use a bristle brush to dry brush in the fog and mist. Then closes the show with using a bristle brush to dab on highlights to suggest leaves on distant trees. D

Then together they explore the idea of contrasts of flavor, texture, and color, making lemon turkey cutlets and an arugula and orange salad. Recipes: Lavash Pizza with Herb Salad, Arugula and Orange Salad, and Lemon Turkey Cutlets. D

Martha Stewart's Cooking School  "Sauteing"  Sauteing is one of the quickest and most versatile cooking methods. It works well for almost any small cut of meat or fish. Martha demonstrates how to dredge meat or fish in flour and the importance of cooking over high heat to achieve a perfect, golden-brown finish. D

This Old House  "Cambridge 2012, The Big Finish"  The last details come together for the Cambridge project finale: granite posts set off the landscape and the revived vintage doorbell crowns the foyer. Designers Dee Elms and Andrew Terrat bring exquisite punches of color that make the sleek, white Scandinavian modern interior come alive from top to bottom. Primal Grill with Steven Raichlen  "On The Range"  Grilling brings out the cowboy in all of us. After all, smoked brisket originated in Texas cattle country and barbecue was brought to Missouri with the great cattle drives along the Chisholm Trail from Fort Worth to the meat-packing houses in Kansas City. This show will make you at home on the range, or at least at home with some of the smoked and grilled foods traditionally associated with America's cattle country: Hellfire T-bone steaks (with grilled jalapeno poppers to keep them company), smoked brisket, and, the newest addition to the "range"-free-range chicken grilled with herbed butter under the skin.
