Death: A Personal Understanding  "Facing Mortality"  How can we prepare for death? By preparing, do we enhance or diminish our lives? A retired performer, an epidemiologist now suffering from AIDS, a young businesswoman, a Holocaust survivor, and a war journalist discuss how facing their own deaths and the deaths of others has affected. D

Death: A Personal Understanding  "Deathbed"  In the last century, the scene of the deathbed drama has moved, overall, from home to hospital. Still, even surrounded by technology, the deathbed scene remains emotional for those who participate. We meet a young man who loses his mother to cancer, a couple who lose their five-year-old daughter, and a young widow who recounts the final serene days of her husband's battle with leukemia. D

Connecting with the Arts: A Workshop for Middle Grades Teachers  "Workshop 7. Identifying What Students Are Learning"  This program investigates ways to evaluate student learning in and through the arts. Participants will see teachers using arts-based performance tasks to assess student understanding. D

Katie Brown Workshop  "Under The Tuscan Sun"  Grab your passport because Katie and her workshop crew present sure-to-please Italian-inspired ideas. In the Kitchen: Tasty Polenta Bites, Italian-Style Focaccia Bread and Katie's Infamous Italian Chicken. Projects: Drying herbs with style. D

Sara's Weeknight Meals  "Two for One"  To truly save time in the kitchen, Sara's got a simple solution: cook once, eat two completely different meals. Her Grilled Lamb Chop with Steak Butter is fantastic on its own, but it makes a second meal special when the lamb is ground into Herbed Lamb and Feta Burgers. Peruvian Baked Chicken Thighs are going to be a hit with your family. D

Julia Child Memories: Bon Appetit!   PBS presents a retrospective that includes some of the most memorable episodes from Child's classic cooking series, THE FRENCH CHEF: "Bouillabaisse à la Marseillaise," "To Roast A Chicken" and "The Omelette Show." In addition to testimonials from noted chefs, the program features commentary from author Julie Powell, who wrote the book on which the film comedy Julie & Julia is based, and Meryl Streep, who stars as Julia Child.G

Donna Dewberry Show  "Tropical Sunset"  Donna creates a Florida Everglade sunset on canvas, and then stitches up brightly colored nautical pillows. She offers tips for painting palm trees on glassware.G

Joanne Weir's Cooking Confidence  "Magical Morocco"  Joanne shows us just how easily and quickly a deliciously spiced lentil soup can be made when you have the right spices in the pantry. She continues to spice it up with her student John, building a warm Moroccan chicken and sweet potato salad, cooling it off with a cardamom and ginger cocktail she has aptly named the Marrakech 75. Recipes: Spiced Lentil Soup, Warm Moroccan Chicken and Sweet Potato Salad, and Marrakech 75 Cocktail. D

Recipes: Oven-Roasted Sausages with Riesling, Apples and Pears and Lazy-Girl Sauerkraut. Student: Bonnie Lin, Conference Interpreter. D

Rick Steves' Europe  "Paris: Regal and Intimate"  Rick cruises the Seine River, visits Napoleon's tomb, and takes in the Louvre. He also shops in village-like neighborhoods, attends church in a grand pipe organ loft, and celebrates with a big, patriotic Bastille Day bang.G
