NOVA  "Mystery of Easter Island"  Rapa Nui, the bleak speck of rock in the middle of the Pacific Ocean, known as Easter Island, has been a place of mystery since Europeans first arrived in 1722. How did ancient islanders build and move nearly 900 giant statues weighing up to 86 tons each. A NOVA team uses a 15-ton replica statue to test out controversial recent claims on how the statues might have been moved.G

Rick Steves' Europe  "Prague and the Czech Republic"  Rick visits newly energized Prague with side trips to Kutna Hora to descend into a medieval mine.G

Smart Travels - Europe with Rudy Maxa  "French Riviera"  Rudy drops in on the hot spots along the Mediterranean's Cote d'Azur. From Nice, he leads the way to local beaches and modern art museums. A short hop up the winding Grande Corniche is wealthy Monaco.G

The Desert Speaks  "Utah's Slick Rock Country"  Host David Yetman and his brother, Geologist Dick Yetman, take a geological road trip to Southeastern Utah's Colorado Plateau. After hiking through an ever-changing slot canyon named Canyon X and the aptly named Kodachrome Basin State Park, they take an eerie trek through Goblin Valley State Park where the mysterious entrada rock sculptures known as "goblins" surround you from all angles. Kevin Dundon's Modern Irish Food  "Birds, Bass and Berries"  Kevin prepares a woodpigeon salad; whole roasted sea bass in a sea salt crust; crushed baby potatoes; and a sea vegetable salad. Finally, a fresh and tasty elderflower and gooseberry fool. D

Taste of History  "Dolley & James Madison - Entertaining at Montpelier, Part 1"  Dolley Madison was the toast of Washington, hosting her famous "squeeze" parties at the White House first for Thomas Jefferson, and then for her husband, James. When the Madisons left Washington, they continued these traditions at Montpelier, their lavish home in Virginia. Chef Walter throws a party, Dolley-style, making ice cream with Dolley and cooking up a feast, which includes Artichokes, Veal Kidney Dijonnaise, Hoppin' John and Cornmeal Fried Catfish for their guests. D

Simply Ming  "Vancover - Tojo"  In this episode of Simply Ming, while on the Road in Vancouver, Ming shops for fresh seafood with one of Vancouver's most famous chefs, Hidekazu Tojo, the inventor of the California Roll. Tojo takes Ming to his favorite fish store in Vancouver's Chinatown, then on to buy some fresh Vancouver crab fresh off the boat near the famous Fisherman's Wharf. Together they cook up a seafood feast!. D

The Jazzy Vegetarian  "Cauliflower Gets Respect"  Host Laura Theodore prepares creative and tasty ways to serve cauliflower. The cruciferous wonder stands front and center in satisfying "Cauliflower Steaks with Sweet Pepper Sauce," then plays the part of cream in "Creamy Cauliflower Soup." Slow baking in the oven brings out sweet flavors in "Paprika Roasted Cauliflower," the perfect side dish for any meal. D

Chef's Life  "A Road Trip for Rice"  Vivian travels to Columbia, South Carolina, to meet with Glenn Roberts of Anson Mills and learns about Carolina heirloom rice growing in fields on the Savannah River. Glenn explains Anson Mills' efforts to save heirloom grains and discusses the importance of ingredient biodiversity. Glenn's passion inspires Vivian to host a "rice dinner" at Chef & the Farmer, where each course centers around this grain. D

Austin City Limits  "Arcade Fire"  The alternative rock superstars perform hits and tunes from their Grammy Award-winning album The Suburbs.G

Sesame Street  "The Wedding Planner"  Elmo helps Zoe problem solve and pull together the final details of Rocco's wedding. Educational Objective: Self-Regulation (EF). D

Dinosaur Train  "An Apatosaurus Adventure/Nature Art"  The Pteranodon kids visit the Jurassic Time Period to meet Apollo Apatosaurus, a huge, long-necked, long-tailed dinosaur who likes adventure. Apollo loves to whip his long tail, and does so as he leads the kids on a pretend adventure to find a hard-to-reach tree with yummy, delicious leaves! Mrs. Pteranodon cleans out the clutter from the family nest and the kids are amazed at the pile of stuff - leaves, flower petals, pieces of wood, and shells. Tiny stops Mom from throwing out all the stuff, determined that she and Buddy, Tiny, and Don will find a use for it all. D

Peg + Cat  "The Tree Problem/Another Tree Problem"  The Tree Problem - Peg's Neighborhood. When Cat is stuck in a tree, Peg needs to figure out how to get him down using three giant gifts. Primary Content: Spatial sense, solving a puzzle; Secondary Content: Direction, position. D

Cat in the Hat Knows A Lot About That!  "Big Cats/Fantastic Flour"  Big Cats - When Sally and Nick have difficulty sneaking up on Nick's Mom to surprise her, The Cat brings them to meet some great sneaker-uppers - cats! Three big cats in particular. The kids learn to be patient from a snow leopard, speedy from a cheetah and the trick of distraction from a lion. Back in Nick's yard they sneak up on his mom and surprise her! Then Nick and Sally are surprised when the best sneaker-upper sneaks up on them - The Cat! Fantastic Flour - Nick and Sally are making their "Best Ever Yummy For Your Tummy" muffins when they realize they don't have enough flour. D

WordGirl  "High-Five Sandwich/The Robot Problem"  HIGH-FIVE SANDWICH - Chuck has won the prestigious "Sandwich of the Year" competition, but when his story in the Big City Times is overshadowed by the new High Five Sandwich trend that Becky, Scoops and Violet came up with, he goes out in to the city to seek revenge. He won't stop until he figures out who is responsible for this new and trendy "sandwich". Vocabulary Words: Trendy(y), Eager. D

Science Trek  "Weather"  Host Joan Cartan-Hansen discusses weather and climate with meteorologists Vin Crosby and Robyn Heffernan. She also takes students inside the National Weather Service office to see how meteorologists collect the data they need to predict the weather.G

Rick Steves' Europe  "Naples and Pompeii"  Rick finds Naples is Italy in the extreme. He prowls backstreet fish markets, dodges fast-moving Vespas, and dines on pizza where it was invented. He climbs to the top of nearby Mount Vesuvius, then wanders through the ruins of Pompeii.G
