The chef and his two children pull on their boots for a day of discovery at Rancho la Paz, a tiny but glorious farm nestled along the Rio Grande in the southern Rocky Mountains. As they attempt to sample 96 kinds of tomatoes, 32 types of basil and 47 varieties of sweet and spicy peppers, the bounty is ripe for the picking at this experimental organic farm. D

Cell Biology and Cancer"  Cancers result when genes required for normal cell function are mutated and the resulting cells undergo other changes ultimately leading to uncontrolled division. This session reveals new information on normal cell function, proto-oncogenes and tumor suppressor genes and their role in the cell cycle, and current research in drug design for specific cancers. D

Portraits of Emotion   Portraits of Emotion is a feature length documentary film that follows over the course of four years the life of 14-year-old Jonathan Lerman, an artistic prodigy who is diagnosed with autism, a lifelong developmental disability that affects learning, communication and social interaction. While capable of drawing astonishing portraits that capture the nuances of human emotion, Jonathan is unable to effectively verbally communicate his feelings. By giving the audience an in-depth look inside Jonathan's life, Portraits of Emotion builds awareness about the effects that autism has on a family over time. D
