Martin Yan's Hidden China  "Exploring The Naxi Culture"  Visiting the picturesque old town of Shuhe, China's most ancient village and one of UNESCO's World Heritage sites, Martin comes face to face with the gentle Naxi people and marvels at their peaceful existence. He visits a local family and helps make dinner, using common local ingredients such as blood sausage and wild mushrooMs. To learn about the complex Naxi religion, Martin first attends a 'Wind Ceremony' upon a hillside. He then joins local priests in prayer on the banks of the Lijiang River, where they solicit a blessing from the water deity. D

During this adventure he travels to Lujang to join in the creation of traditional tea snacks, visits an Assam tea farm in Nantou, participates in a formal tea ceremony in Tainan and tops it all off with a visit to the annual Lantern Festival in Chiayi. Along the way he meets the masters of Taiwan's pottery, tin-sculpting and lantern-making arts. D

The program is a follow-up discussion to the new OUTDOOR IDAHO documentary, The People's Land, which examines different decisions that federal land management agencies in Idaho have made that involve multiple uses. Guests include Suzanne Rainville, retired supervisor of the Payette National Forest; Margaret Soulen Hinson, president, American Sheep Industry Association; Jim Jeffress, member, Idaho Wild Sheep Foundation; and McCoy Oatman, Nez Perce Tribal Executive Committee member.G

Then Eduardo Pagân wonders why U.S. troops were in Siberia during World War I, and Elyse Luray sizes up a Ronald McDonald costume.G

Live from the Artists Den  "Robert Plant and the Band of Joy"  Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Robert Plant is over 40 years into his storied career in music - and still going strong. In 1967 he formed a group called the Band of Joy with drummer John Bonham, before the two joined with guitarist Jimmy Page and bassist John Paul Jones the following year to form the legendary band Led Zeppelin. After his 2007 Raising Sand collaboration with Alison Krauss garnered him five Grammy Awards (including Album of the Year and Record of the Year), Plant created a new Band of Joy, which features fellow luminaries Buddy Miller and Patty Griffin. D

It is part concert film, and part insider viewpoint, including interviews with original band members.G
