Growing Old in a New Age  "Dying, Death, and Bereavement"  Discusses the services older people need to deal with dying and death. Elders describe their views on widowhood and management of grief. Experts examine the ethical dilemmas posed by terminal illness. D

Hands On Crafts for Kids  "Egypt"  Egypt is located in North Africa. Most of the population is near the Nile River since the desert covers much of the rest of the country. Our crafts are inspired by ancient Egypt and common symbols of this country. D

Hey Kids, Let's Cook  "A Traditional German Dinner"  Join us for another trip around the globe. This time to Germany, as we host Chef Klaus Tenbergin. Chef Klaus showed taught us how to cook one of his favorite German meals: Himmel un Erde, (which means of heaven and earth) and a very popular mashed potatoes and apple dish. D

Jacques Pepin: More Fast Food My Way  "Brussel Sprout Love"  If left on a desert island, Jacques thinks he'd be quite happy if only there were some chickens! For Jacques, the prize part of the chicken is the thigh and he thinks you'll agree when you try Crusty Chicken Thighs with Mushroom Sauce served with a tasty Fricasse of Brussels Sprouts and Bacon. An inspired use of instant potato flakes to thicken a soup shows up in the fast cooking Seafood Chowder topped with fresh crabmeat. To end on a relaxing note, Jacques arranges a presentation of Stilton with Apple and Nuts to accompany a delicious glass of vintage or aged Tawny Port. D

Cuisine Culture  "Marc Haeberlin, Colmar, France"  Chef Marc Haeberlin follows the family tradition of cooking for the most discriminating palates on the planet at his restaurant, L'Auberge de l'Ille. Cuisine Culture travels to the fairytale town of Colmar and throughout the picturesque wine growing region of Alsace where viewers learn how to pair the finest wines in the world with a great meal. You won't want to miss a frog leg or an extra helping of foie gras on this journey. D

Ask This Old House  "Installing A Ceiling Fan/Installing A Water Softener"  Host Kevin O'Connor and electrician Scott Caron head to Denver to install a ceiling fan on a cathedral ceiling. Then, Kevin, along with general contractor Tom Silva, plumbing and heating expert Richard Trethewey and landscape contractor Roger Cook, asks, "What is it?" Afterward, Richard visits New Jersey to install a water softener. D

Rick Steves' Europe  "Tuscany's Dolce Vita"  Rick explores the small towns and rural countryside of Tuscany. He hunts for truffles in an oak forest, nibbles through an artichoke festival, shares a farmhouse feast, climbs the Leaning Tower of Pisa, and rides in a classic convertible through the cypress groves of Mona Lisa's backyard.G

Equitrekking  "Carolinas"  Host Darley Newman and local guides explore some of the more than 100 miles of Appalachian trails surrounding the Biltmore Estate, much as guests of George Vanderbilt would have during the Gilded Age. Darley meets resident horses at The Biltmore Equestrian Center and learns why natural horsemanship is a powerful method of understanding horses. Next, Darley heads downtown to discover the thriving arts scene in Asheville, before taking a lesson in rock climbing at Chimney Rock Park. D

Caprial and John's Kitchen: Cooking for Family and Friends  "Chocolate Alchemy"  Caprial visits one of the only organic chocolate producers in the country and comes home with chocolate-infused ideas for connoisseurs.
