Johnson, Martin Luther King Jr., Barry Goldwater and Betty Friedan. It brings out from the shadows the actions of ordinary Americans whose frustrations, ambitions, and anxieties began to turn the country onto a different course.G

Independent Lens  "Pushing The Elephant"  When civil war comes to Rose's Congolese village, she is separated from her 5-year-old daughter, Nangabire. Rose manages to escape with nine of her 10 children and resettles in Phoenix, Arizona. After more than a decade, mother and daughter are reunited in the U.S. and now must come to terms with the past.G
