Underground Railroad: The William Still Story
The first generation of his family born free, the black abolitionist and historian (1821-1902) of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, sets out to get as many escaped slaves as he could across the U.S. border to safety in Canada, and to document their stories. This film uses Still's diaries, re-enactments, historical perspectives and contemporary accounts to re-create the Underground Railroad saga and Still's part in it.G

"The Desert of Forbidden Art"
Igor Savitsky travels thousands of miles to rescue the work of politically volatile artists that the Soviet government was intent on destroying, and then saves this treasure trove of art by "hiding" it in a museum in the desert in Uzbekistan. The filmmakers weave the cultural and political context of the times, juxtaposing images from the collection with rare Soviet archival film and stills.G
