Grandma and Susie team up to explain the science of how a vaccination works, and then Grandma kicks in with a special song that makes getting a vaccination super easy!. D

Also on the itinerary are visits to the Boyce Thompson Arboretum and an amazing collection at Bach's Nursery in Tucson, Arizona, where they have a better success rate with their individually raised saguaro cacti than Mother Nature herself. Finally, travel on Interstate 10 to Los Angeles for North America's largest cactus and succulent show - the Olympics of cactus cultivation. D

Austin City Limits  "Monsters of Folk"  The five musical monsters - each a songwriter and each an acclaimed musician in his own right - pack the set with Americana-infused folk ballads and raucous Southern rock romps. Much of it is from the collaborative songs of their debut self-titled release.G

Dinosaur Train  "Haunted Roundhouse/Big Pond Pumpkin Patch"  Dad takes the kids on a special Night Train to Troodon Town, where the Troodons have decorated their Roundhouse into a "haunted house" for a spooky party. The kids end up meeting a strange new nocturnal creature - a mammal named Vlad Volaticotherium, who was hiding in the roundhouse trying to get some sleep. The Pteranodon family learns more about the customs of their neighbors, the Lambeosaurus family, when they are invited for the first time to accompany them to the Big Pond to celebrate "Gourd Day" - a kind of Mesozoic Halloween. D

Super Why!  "Bedtime for Bear"  Baby Joy is afraid of the dark! To show her there's nothing to fear, Super Why and his literacy friends fly into Bedtime for Bear and meet Charlie - a bear who is scared of just about everything! The super readers shed a little light on the problem (literally) while Charlie discovers a bit more about the world outside his cozy cave. Educational Objectives: To experience a familiar bedtime routine. Preschoolers will practice the alphabet, rhyme with AR words, learn what the word "fireflies" means, and use the power to read to change the story. D

Just below the ranges, the lack of rains combined with invasive species has caused additional wildfires that have devastated portions of the Sonoran Desert. The link between drought and fire has pre-historic roots and host David Yetman and Tom Swetnam from the University of Arizona's Laboratory of Tree-Ring Research travel through the desert to higher elevations that contain evidence of drought, fire, and civilization.
