Saving The Bay  "Miracle Workers (1906 - 1959)"  The 1906 earthquake accelerates the dispersion of people and industry to the East Bay region. Other major changes for the Bay include: the first of California's massive water re-distribution projects, the great bridge building era, and the world's greatest shipbuilding center during World War II.G

Saving The Bay  "Bay in the Balance (1906 - Present)"  In the final episode, the survival of the Bay is threatened by the postwar boom. Leaders of the Save The Bay campaign of the 1960s are introduced and the birth of the national mass environmental movement. With their busy little hands, they open doors, get into attics and raid secured trash cans. Using night-vision cameras and raccoon-proof radio collars, scientists set out to follow urban raccoons to observe their habits and lifestyles.G

America ReFramed  "Brother Outsider: The Life of Bayard Rustin"  During his 60-year career as an activist, organizer and "troublemaker, " Bayard Rustin formulated many of the strategies that propelled the American civil rights movement. His passionate belief in Gandhi' s philosophy of nonviolence drew Martin Luther King Jr. and other leaders to him in the 1940's and 50's; his practice of those beliefs drew the attention of the FBI and police. D

Frontline  "Never Forget to Lie"  In his latest film, Marian Marzynski (Return to Poland, Shtetl) returns to the Warsaw ghetto of his childhood. In "Never Forget to Lie," Marzynski tells the story of how he as a Jewish boy escaped the Holocaust, hiding from the Nazis and surviving the war as an altar boy in a Catholic monastery. In this deeply personal film, he shares the poignant, painful recollections of other child survivors, many of whom are visiting scenes of their childhood for the last time. D

She travels the desert of Turkmenistan to the lost city of Merv and heads to the modern capital of Baku in Azerbaijan. Her trek ends in the rich bazaars of Istanbul.G
