The Super Readers pay a storybook visit to Little Ghost, who's a bit of a scaredy cat himself, to teach him there's more to Halloween than meets the eye!. D

Dinosaur Train  "Night Train/Fossil Fred"  Night Train - Dad, Buddy and Tiny take a special ride on the Dinosaur Train at night, learning about animals that are active after dark, culminating at the Big Pond for a nature walk under the full moon. Fossil Fred - Buddy, Tiny and Don play "detective" and search around the Big Pond for fossils. The kids end up finding an entire skeleton of a Jurassic dinosaur. D

The Electric Company  "One Smart Cookie"  The Electric Company and Francine pretend to be the characters from the Casey Calloway book series in order to solve a mystery and win the title of Master Detective. D

Wild Kratts  "Masked Bandits"  As they prepare for a creature costume party, the Wild Kratts team begins to notice all sorts of strange things happening in the Tortuga HQ. Jimmy is sure there is a ghost or monster living with them, but the Kratt brothers are convinced it's some kind of creature. When the gang sets out to discover who is causing all the trouble, they discover that certain animals gravitate towards human habitation because it provides food and protection from predators. D

Mexico -- One Plate at a Time with Rick Bayless  "From Lobster to Chocolate Clams: A Delicious Feast in Magdalena Bay"  Rick and local guide Luis Garduno of REDTours venture out on a skiff to learn about sustainable fishing on Magdalena Bay. They catch up with local lobster fishermen and learn about sizing lobsters. Then they watch as clam divers haul up the local chocolate clams from the bottom of the bay. D

Martin Yan's Hidden China  "Life In Shangri-La"  Martin continues his exploration of Shangri-la, experiencing the journey of a typical pilgrim. He visits arts and craft shops to examine the works of noted local Tibetan artists and craftspeople. At the suggestion of a local shop owner, Martin visits a nearby village, which specializes in making the region's celebrated Black Clay Pottery. D

Travelscope  "Taiwan - Forgotten People"  Only 2% of the Taiwan population belongs to an ethnic minority group. Of the 14 aboriginal groups that exist on Taiwan the Tao people live on Orchid Island while the Ami people were the original inhabitants of Green Island. Joseph travels to Green Island to enjoy its natural pleasures such as one of the world's only ocean hot baths and rides on a moped through the island's dramatic volcanic landscape. D

History Detectives   A stamp collector buys a stash of materials and finds some letters written during the Civil War - one from a Union soldier to his brother inquiring about a commission, another from the soldier's comrade to tell the brother his sibling had been wounded. Tracing the story of the letters uncovers a story that reaches into the heart of the ugliness of slavery and the emotions it engendered.G

Live from the Artists Den  "Squeeze"  As teenagers on the South London Scene in the 1970s, childhood friends Chris Difford and Glenn Tilbrook formed Squeeze, the pioneering UK band that saw them dubbed "The New Lennon and McCartney. " Championed early on by the Velvet Underground's John Cale, who produced their debut EP, Packet Of Three, Squeeze established their position as one of Britain's most beloved bands with 1979's Cool For Cats, setting off a career that would span decades and produce hits in the UK and abroad. Bryant Park provided a picturesque setting for a secret performance by UK pop legends Squeeze on a warm summer night. D

PBS Arts from Miami: Miami City Ballet Dances Balanchine and Tharp   This program spotlights one of America's finest regional ballet companies, Edward Villella's Miami City Ballet.
