Legacy: Austria's Influence On American Skiing  "Austrian Ski Culture & Helicopter Skiing - (1960s - )"  For generations Austrian architecture, apres ski ambience, ski school directors and instructors gained notice and profits in the Americas. In the 1960s and 70s the Austrian Emo Henrich at Stratton in Vermont, and the Austrians Hans Gmoser and Mike Wiegele in the Canadian Rockies, put their cultural and entrepreneurial skills to work and thus furthered this legacy. At Stratton, Emo recruited many Austrian instructors with whom he created not only, the Stratton Mountain Boys -- a successful Austrian alpine music band (that to this day tours throughout the United States) -- but also, with a predominantly New York clientele, a progressive, competitive and innovative climate. D

Meanwhile Adela wanders through the Musee d'Orsay, chats with British designer Vivienne Westwood at the couture shows, and tours the Palace of Versailles.G

Outdoor Idaho  "Winter Carnival"  The McCall area appears to be a winter paradise. But the short days and the long, frigid nights take their toll on even the most enthusiastic recreationalist. So what does an entire community do to fight cabin fever? They throw the biggest winter party in the state. This Outdoor Idaho production showcases some of the interesting and offbeat events of this 10-day party and finds side trips unique to area and the season.G

Dialogue  "FRONTLINE's Michael Kirk"  The former Idahoan has been a part of the investigative documentary series since its beginnings, starting as its first senior producer. Host Marcia Franklin talks with Kirk about his most recent show "League of Denial," which examines whether the NFL covered up the numbers and severity of concussion-related injuries among professional football players. They also talk about his other works for the series.G
