Sesame Street  "Cast Iron Cooks"  Just as Alan finishes packing Elmo's lunch, the lights go down, the music goes up, and Superchef pops up and announces that Alan has been chosen as the next challenger on Cast Iron Cooks. Alan is not even sure what that is, but Chris and Elmo are excited to be his assistants. The first challenge is to prepare a bowl of P Stew, which is made up entirely of ingredients that begin with the letter P. Elmo, Chris, and Alan race around throwing P foods like pickles, peaches, and porridge into a pot. D

And when Tigey goes missing right before bedtime, Daniel learns what a grr-ific babysitter Prince Tuesday is. D

NOVA  "Ancient Computer"  NOVA follows the detective work required to discover what may be the world's first computer, an unpromising-looking lump of metal found in 1901 in a 2,000-year-old shipwreck. Researchers used data from high-resolution, 360-degree X-ray scans to decipher markings in the corroded bronze fragments to determine that it is an astronomical calculator and eclipse predictor.G

Rick Steves' Europe  "London: Mod and Trad"  Rick finds London quintessentially English, yet cosmopolitan. He checks out the new - the Millenium Bridge and the British Museum's Great Court - and admires the old - well-wrapped mummies and a rare Leonardo.G

Smart Travels - Europe with Rudy Maxa  "Ireland's West Coast"  We're blessed with a bit of Irish luck as we take on Ireland's ruggedly beautiful west coast. We start in Galway, Europe's fastest growing city, shopping for Irish crystal and Celtic jewelry. Then it'sa salt-sprayed boat trip to the fabled Aran Islands where we reach breathless heights at a Stone Age fort and ferret out traditional hand-knit sweaters. D

The Desert Speaks  "Beyond The Asphalt Part 1"  Just off the highway there are a plethora of adventures awaiting the exploratory traveler. Host David Yetman heads west of Tucson to visit some of these undiscovered places. After visiting the largest dune field in the United States, we head to Yuma for a hot air balloon ride and a walk through "the hell-hole of Arizona," the Arizona Territorial Prison. D

Ciao Italia  "$20.00 Dinner/Venti Dollari Per La Cena"  Mary Ann shows you just how far 20 dollars can go when you're creative about what you're preparing for dinner, starting off with a creamy Farfalle with Gorgonzola Sauce. Second course? Oven-roasted Pork Loin with Apples, followed by an fresh mixed salad, and to polish off this low-cost, high-taste meal, ice-cold, orange-flavored Granita. D

Taste of History  "Pirates Get Their Due"  At the end of the 17th Century, Port Royal in Jamaica was awash in pirates, including famous Captain Morgan. Their endless partying suddenly came to a stop when an earthquake gobbled up the tawdry town. Chef Walter visits Port Royal, to see the amazing intact underwater city, then cooks on the Rio Grande river, as the Arawaks have done for centuries. D

Simply Ming  "On The Road In Chattanooga"  On this Southern-inspired episode of Simply Ming, Chef Ming Tsai takes us to Chattanooga, Tennessee to learn some of the region's culinary secrets. An up and coming culinary hotspot, Chattanooga has a lot to offer the adventuresome palate. Ming and his local guest chef will explore the local markets and come up with two dishes that are sure to make your mouth water. D

Dinosaur Train  "One Smart Dinosaur/Petey The Peteinosaurus"  One Smart Dinosaur - Buddy and Tiny want to test their memory, so they ride the Dinosaur Train and spend some time with the Conductor, since he's a Troodon with a great memory. The kids get to meet the Conductor's mom, Mrs. Conductor. Petey The Peteinosaurus - Buddy and Tiny ride the Dinosaur Train to meet Petey Peteinosaurus, a "flying lizard," who is fun, funny, and friendly, and has some features similar to both Buddy and Tiny!. D

Super Why!  "The Great Robot Race"  Ready.steady.splat! Whyatt and his puppy want to win the porridge race, but the bowl of breakfast cereal keeps falling off the puppy's back. D

Cat in the Hat Knows A Lot About That!  "Teeny Weeny Adventure/I See Seeds"  Teeny Weeny Adventure - Nick has spotted a tiny ladybug, but Sally has found an even smaller ant! And there's nothing smaller than an ant. Or is there? Cat takes Nick and Sally to meet a variety of single-celled creatures, the smallest anywhere! Nick and Sally soon learn that a drop of water holds a whole lot more than they ever realized! I See Seeds - Sally and Nick are going on an adventure, but how are they going to get there? Skateboard? Train? Rocketship? They just can't decide, until Cat suggests they see how trees send their seeds on trips. They follow different seeds as they travel through the air, float on the water and hitch rides on animals. D

Back in Sara's kitchen, they make two weeknight friendly Italian dishes - Sal's Meatballs in Pizza Sauce and Spaghetti in Parchment with Clams and Scallions. D

Rick Steves' Europe  "Florentine Delights and Tuscan Side Trips"  Rick takes in more of the artistic treasures of the city that propelled Europe out of the Middle Ages. Then he takes side trips to a couple of rival cities and cultural capitals in their own right - Pisa and Luca. He marvels at the tipsy tower, circles a city on its ramparts, and enjoys some Puccini in the composer's hometown. Part 2 of 2G
