Grannies On Safari  "Western Cape, South Africa & Botswana"  They begin their adventure in glorious Cape Town with excursions to the Cape of Good Hope and the wine lands. The Grannies board "The Pride of Africa" on Rovos Rail - accommodated in a restored vintage car - for a two-day trip to Pretoria that includes a stop at the famous Kimberly Gold Mines. While in Botswana, the ladies visit the set of the popular television series "The Ladies #1 Detective Agency" and meet with the Oodi Weavers. D

Ask This Old House  "Building A Storage Bench/Making Watertight Connections"  In the workshop, general contractor Tom Silva and host Kevin O'Connor build a storage bench for an entryway. Then, plumbing and heating expert Richard Trethewey shares some tips for making watertight connections without soldering. Afterward, landscape contractor Roger Cook helps a homeowner maintain an overgrown perennial garden. D

Globe Trekker  "Around The World - Panamericana: Incas & Inquisitions"  Trekker Brianna Barnes journeys to Peru, home of the legendary Incas, where she begins her trek in Cajamarca, where thousands of Incan soldiers were slaughtered by Pizarro's conquistadors. After visiting one of the world's largest gold mines, Brianna makes her way to Lima, once home to the Spanish Inquisition in South America. In Cusco, she learns about the golden Inca Empire before ending her journey on the volcano El Misti.G

Connecting with the Arts: A Workshop for Middle Grades Teachers  "Workshop 1. What Is Arts Integration?"  This program presents three instructional models for integrating the arts: independent instruction, team-teaching, and collaborations with community resources. Participants will also explore informal, complementary, and interdependent curricular connections, and see examples of what these different types of arts-integrated instruction look like in the classroom. D

In Search of the Novel  "Who Owns The Novel?"  This workshop probes the living nature of the novel by illustrating how each reader makes a novel his or her own. It shows how the interpretation of a novel can change, depending on the reader's culture, class, generation, gender, and personality. D

Social Studies In Action: A Methodology Workshop, K-5  "Workshop 5. Using Resources"  How can students use a variety of resources well? This session focuses on how to make the most of the resources that can be used in teaching social studies, from artifacts and primary sources to children. D

Hands On Crafts for Kids  "Year Round Parties"  You don't need a holiday as an excuse for a party - just about any day deserves a celebration. On this episode make decorations for the perfect party every day. Party favor pencils are first, made from little blocks of foam to create everything from a mummy to a snowman. D

Travel with Kids  "Ireland: Dublin"  Ireland's biggest city, Dublin, is vibrant and has many stories to tell if you take the time to listen.
