Little Manila: Filipinos In California's Heartland   The "Little Manilla" section of Stockton, Calif., filled with chop-suey houses, gambling dens and dance halls, served as the de facto hometown for displaced Filipinos at the turn of the 20th century. In its heyday, this lively area contained the largest population of Filipinos outside of the Philippines. D
