Dr. Anthony Joseph

Physician, Family Practice and Sports Medicine

Dr. Anthony Joseph was born and raised in Tucson Arizona. He attended Northern Arizona University and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology, graduating Magna Cum Laude. He was on the Dean's list each semester and earned a Presidents Award for community service.

He received his M.D. degree from St. Louis University School of Medicine in 1987. He returned to Arizona and performed his internship at Scottsdale Memorial Hospital and completed his residency at Scottsdale Memorial Family Practice. As part of the Scottsdale Memorial Sports care team, Dr. Joseph provided medical coverage for local sporting events, including road races, high school football games, and professional tennis matches. He was also Assistant M.D. at Arizona State University for basketball and wrestling. Moving to Minnesota, he performed a fellowship in Primary Care Sports Medicine at the Hennepin County Medical Center, 1990-1991. He was a team physician at Hamline University and St. Thomas University (both in Minnesota), and at the University of Wisconsin (Madison). Eventually he moved to Idaho and was head Team Physician at Idaho State University (Pocatello) for seventeen years.

Dr. Joseph is Board Certified in Family Practice, Certificate of added Qualification in Sports Medicine, ACLS, and ABFP. He is a member of American Academy of Family Physicians, Idaho Academy of Family Physicians and American Medical Society of Sports medicine. He is also a member of the American College of Sports Medicine, American Institute of Ultrasound, and North American Spine Society.

Dr. Joseph is in private practice in Pocatello Idaho. He practices Sports Medicine. He is married with three children.
