The Idaho Debates begins October 12 with candidate debates for the general election. The Idaho DebatesFor more than two decades, Idaho Public Television has been Idaho's 'station of record' for candidate debates. This fall (2008), we'll continue that tradition with debates for the statewide general election races. Until then, see what candidates had to say in their primary election debates on our Video Archive page. Candidates are selected for the debates by the League of Women Voters, the Idaho Press Club and Idaho Public Television. Among other criteria, candidates have to show that they have an "active campaign." The Idaho Secretary of State's website has primary election results, as well as information about the November general election. Partners with Idaho Public Television in The Idaho Debates include the League of Women Voters, the Idaho Press Club, The Associated Press, Boise State Radio, Idaho Allied Dailies, Idaho State Broadcasters Association, The Idaho Statesman and KIVI-TV. |
