Miscellaneous information and considerations:
The packet that came with this video toolkit contains examples of brochures that are available in quantities. For contact and ordering information, see each pamphlet. You may photocopy the handouts on Idaho and Federal Laws. We have also provided you with a copy of the agenda from the Boise, Idaho training as a sample. You will also find a sample flyer advertising the training, and information on the IdahoPTV Web site in the packet.
Continuing education credits can be given for this training. Check your local requirements. There is a sample certificate in the packet.
One 19" TV screen is large enough for an audience of 20 to view and hear comfortably without an external sound system. For larger groups, you will need a "splitter" and multiple TV screens placed strategically around the room, or a very large screen TV that is elevated. A sound system with all speakers using microphones is recommended. Classroom-style seating is recommended so they can examine their materials and take notes.
Ask all speakers what Audio-Video equipment they will need. (Overhead, TV/VCR, video projector and computer for Power Point presentations, flip charts)
Suggest that speakers make copies of their outline or Power Point slides available to attendees.
