State Management of Federal Lands

Approximately 60% of Idaho's land is owned and managed by the federal government. In 1996 the Federal Lands Task Force was assembled to look into whether it would be beneficial for the state to take over control of those lands. After two years of interviews and research the Task Force recently released a report containing its findings. Joan Cartan-Hansen talks with her guests about the Task Force's findings and if Idaho should manage federal lands.
