University Presidents

The presidents of Idaho's three public universities join Joan Cartan-Hansen to talk about the future of higher education. A number of issues face the leadership of the state's universities, including record-breaking enrollment, overcrowding, and dwindling state funding.

In July 2003, the State Board of Education passed a policy on statewide coordination among Idaho’s institutions. That policy of cooperation recently paid off when the universities jointly announced a $16.1 million education and research grant from the National Institute of Health.
