Johnson, Martin Luther King Jr., Barry Goldwater and Betty Friedan. It brings out from the shadows the actions of ordinary Americans whose frustrations, ambitions, and anxieties began to turn the country onto a different course.G

Without narration or interviews, Wiseman takes the viewer from faculty meetings to classrooms, from financial aid seminars to research laboratories, to show the myriad aspects of campus life. Filmed during the 2010 fall semester, the four-hour film reveals the administration's struggles to maintain the academic excellence, public role and diversity of the student body in the face of drastic budget cuts.G
