Outdoor Idaho  "Home on the Range"  The real heyday of the American cowboy has come and gone; but in Idaho, the hard-scrabble hero of so many of our nation's legends can still be found, riding the range on the West's public lands. It seems there will always be a place for cowboys, wherever there are cattle to be rounded up and wild horses to be tamed, and wherever there are people who love the cowboy lifestyle. As cowboy poet Rudy Gonzales reminds us, "People want to be cowboys!"G

Chef's Life  "Pimp My Grits"  The restaurant gears up for a practice service when the new equipment and new menu will be tested in real time - but nothing is going as planned. One of the big changes to the restaurant's menus is the addition of a section called "Pimp My Grits," where Vivian exalts the lowly, quintessentially Southern ingredient in four distinct ways. D

Paint This with Jerry Yarnell  "Trademark of Spring, Part 3"  At this point Jerry shows how to begin shaping the distant bushes/trees, then how to begin applying highlights on distant grasses; also applying first distant layers of Blue Bonnets as well as blocking in trunk of large Oak tree. Then mixing the proper color for the Oak tree leaves and under-painting them with #10 bristle brush using a "scumbling" technique for proper form. D
