A new Idaho classroom resource for grades 9-12 is now available on the free PBS LearningMedia platform for teachers and students.
"Nature as Classroom," a recent episode of Outdoor Idaho, is now a high school lesson plan that guides students to explore their own connection with nature through field observation, discussion, and creativity. Idaho classroom teacher Lindley Ballen wrote the lesson and included readings from Aldo Leopold's A Sand County Almanac.
Educators and students from the University of Idaho's McCall Field Campus and College of Idaho appear in the lesson's video.
