Special guests and food enthusiasts join Chrissy to shop for ingredients and cook a favorite family recipe as they celebrate global food traditions over a shared meal.

Beginning July 23 (while supplies last), viewers in three Idaho communities can find free "Create Kits" at their local library, with the ingredients and a step-by-step recipe to create one of two international dishes (utensils and kitchen not included). Our partner libraries are Salmon Public Library (330 Main St., Salmon), Buhl Public Library (215 Broadway Ave. N., Buhl), and Weiser Public Library (628 E. 1st St., Weiser). Check with these libraries for availability of these kits, as supply is limited.
We’ve curated almost everything you'll need to take a tasty adventure of your own in one of these two Grocery List Show Create Kits! With the ingredients we provide, you can make pasta puttanesca, an Italian pasta dish. Or if your sweet tooth is calling out to be satisfied instead, we provide the ingredients for you to make ube bars, a Filipino dessert! As you make each recipe, learn more about the culture and history behind these foods in the Grocery List Show companion episodes: "This Family-Owned Italian Market in New Jersey Maintains Tradition" and "Seafood City Run to Make Filipino Crab Torta." (Could we have included ingredients for crab tortas instead of ube bars? Perhaps. Is your local librarian happy that we didn't? Probably.)
