Lisa Olken has joined Idaho Public Television as the next director of content and operations. She most recently oversaw content at PBS Utah between 2016 and 2026.
She replaces Scott Graf, who was selected by the State Board of Education to serve as general manager following Jeff Tucker’s retirement in July.
As director of content and operations, Lisa will oversee the creation of all IdahoPTV local content, including the series Outdoor Idaho, Idaho Experience and Idaho Reports. She will also connect various departments in the organization to help promote, market and fundraise around local shows.
“We’re thrilled to have Lisa join our team,” Graf said. “She’s an industry veteran who brings a wealth of experience to IdahoPTV. She’s been familiar with our work based on her role next door in Utah, and I’m excited to see what she and our talented production staff will do in the years to come. The future of our local shows is in very capable hands.”
Prior to her time in Salt Lake City, Lisa was executive producer at Rocky Mountain Public Media in Denver for 20 years.
“I am excited to be at IdahoPTV and work alongside such talented and dedicated people,” Olken said. “I’m also excited to continue the station’s legacy of producing such cinematic and thought-provoking local programs as well as reimagining new programs for folks in every part of the state."
