
NEW Calendar Contest Rules
- Eligibility
- Outdoor Idaho “Iconic Idaho” Photo Contest is open to residents of all 50 United States who are at least 18 years old.

- Agreement to Official Rules
- Participation in the contest constitutes the entrant’s full and unconditional agreement to and acceptance of these Official Rules and the decisions of Idaho Public Television.
- Commercial Usage: By entering the contest, participants grant Idaho Public Television the right to use all submitted content for any purpose it deems appropriate. This includes, but is not limited to, use on social media, websites, television broadcasts, print publications, promotional materials, and donation premiums, and also includes potential inclusion in an IdahoPTV created Outdoor Idaho Calendar for 2025, and any other use in any medium for any purpose worldwide.
- Representations, Acknowledgments and Rights Retained: You represent and warrant that you freely and fully own any photo you submit, including all rights to its use, copyright, trademark or otherwise and you retain ownership of your submission but acknowledge that Idaho Public Television may use it as described in these rules without further notice or consent, and without payment of royalties or any other compensation.
- Contest Period
- The contest begins on the Sept. 4, 2024 at midnight Mountain time (MT) and closes on Oct. 11, 2024 at 11:59 PM MT.

- Entry Method
- Submissions will only be accepted via WooBox Entry Form. The WooBox link will be found on the Outdoor Idaho Facebook page and the Outdoor Idaho website.
- The current “Outdoor Idaho Program Photo Contest Group” page will no longer be an acceptable way to enter the contest. Users are welcome to share images there, but they will not be considered for the contest.
- Submission Guidelines
- Only photos of Idaho, taken in Idaho, will be accepted. Non-Idaho photos will be removed.
- Participants may submit an unlimited number of photos, with one photo per entry form.
- No AI-generated photos or photo manipulation will be accepted. Photo manipulation can be defined as altering the content of a photograph by “adding, rearranging, reversing, distorting, or removing people and/or objects from within the frame.”
- Any images deemed “unrelated content” will be removed, and the user will be issued a warning. Upon receiving a second warning, the user will be disqualified. Inappropriate content will result in immediate disqualification from all future submissions.
- Voting Process
- The Outdoor Idaho Calendar contest is closed to public voting.

- Winner Notification
- Winners will be notified via email.
- If your photograph is selected for the calendar, Outdoor Idaho will contact you to request a high-resolution version of the image without any signatures or watermarks for printing.
Calendar Contest Submission Information
- Resolution and Size Requirements
- Please limit image file size to a maximum of 200MB.
- Images must be tiff., jpeg. or png.
- All submissions must be a meet the following resolution requirements and aspect ratios in order to be considered for the Outdoor Idaho Calendar. Idaho Public Television retains the right to crop any photo to meet its specific needs.

4:3 (4800 x 3600 pixels)

- Other
- Signatures or watermarks are permitted.
- If your photograph is selected for the calendar, Outdoor Idaho will contact you to request a high-resolution version of the image without any signatures or watermarks for printing.
- As with all photo contests, Idaho Public Television will give full credit to the photographer.
- When submitting a photo, photographers must include:
- First and last name
- Email address
- Photo caption (under 10 words and in title case)
- Location of photo (this may include city, county or notable nearby landmark)
- Signatures or watermarks are permitted.
FAQ
- When will calendars be available?
- The 2025 Outdoor Idaho Calendar will be available as a donation premium during Idaho Public Television's annual Decemberfest celebration. Learn more about Decemberfest here.
- How will winning photos be chosen?
- The images selected for the calendar will be chosen by an internal committee at Idaho Public Television.
- Do winners get a calendar?
- Yes, every photographer selected for the calendar will receive a complimentary copy.
- Will winners receive a prize?
- Yes, Idaho Public Television is in the process of establishing a stipend for all photographers selected for the calendar.
