Make Your Calendar Year-End Gift by December 31st

Your support each year directly impacts Idaho Public Television’s mission – to harness the power of public media to encourage lifelong learning, connect communities and enrich lives. Now is the time to help fund the year ahead by making a year-end gift! The following opportunities make it convenient to generously support Idaho Public Television as part of your year-end charitable giving.

If you would like your year-end donation to Idaho Public Television to qualify for a 2021 charitable tax deduction or credit, the IRS requires that contributions are postmarked (if mailed USPS) or date stamped/processed (if using a credit card) by 11:59pm on December 31, 2021. Please consult with your tax advisor.

PLEASE NOTE - Our offices will be closed on Friday, December 31, 2021 in observance of the New Year holiday.  The last day for walk-in charitable donations (for 2021 taxes) will be Thursday, December 30, 2021.

Ways to Support

As a 501c3 non-profit organization and an educational institution under the Idaho State Board of Education. Cash gifts to benefit Idaho Public Television may qualify for the Idaho Education Tax Credit that helps you save more when you give more! You can claim this credit on your Idaho tax form whether or not you itemize deductions. The credit is available to all Idaho taxpayers.

  • Tax credits reduce your tax liability dollar for dollar.
  • The state tax credit is up to 50% or $1,000 of your donation for married couples ($500 for individuals).
  • For example, a couple filing a joint return can claim a credit up to $1,000 on a contribution of $2,000 or more. If their tax liability was $5,000, the credit reduces it to $4,000.

In addition, The Federal CARES Act has been extended through 2021 to provide additional tax incentives for individual and corporate taxpayers who make cash donations to qualified 501()(3) public charities this calendar year.  These expanded provisions apply to individuals and married taxpayers who take the universal deduction, to individuals who choose to itemize their charitable deductions, and to corporations that make charitable gifts. Always consult your financial or tax advisor for your specific tax situation.

Your gift of stock can help you and Idaho Public Television yield high returns for education, the arts, and culture for our community. Stock giving can also provide attractive tax savings; you may find that these benefits can help you increase your contribution.
